My first thoughts on spirituality before leaving Canada (Chanting of God’s Name)

October 1, 2009

In the course of my daily meditation in Canada, I have realised that my real identity is not my body or my name but my Atma, which is a part, or Ansh, of Para Brahma, Ishwar. This Para Brahma is Sat, Chit and Anand. When my Atma parted from Para Brahma, it was Sat, Chit and Anand. But Anand is not experienced thereafter because of veil of ignorance. This Anand can be experienced only when my Atma again merges with Para Brahma from whom it has separated. Only method for this purpose is to constantly chant the name of God and remain constantly merged in the thoughts of God. The body which is part of the world, or Sansar, would remain engaged in the service of world, but my Atma, which is “real I”, shall remain constantly engaged in contemplation of God.
